WHY ORGANIC AND SUSTAINABLE?
Organic products are grown and processed without the use of chemical fertilisers and pesticides with an environmentally and socially responsible approach. Organic foods have more beneficial nutrients than their conventionally-grown counterparts as they have no residues of toxic chemicals or pesticides. It is fresher as it contains no preservatives and so tastes better. It is beneficial for the heart, improves immunity, reduces the risk of cancer and detoxifies your body. Organic food is highly nutritious for growing children.
Sustainability means meeting our own needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. In today’s established systems, goods are produced, used and discarded. This creates heaps of waste that are poorly handled and cause pollution. In order to be sustainable, products and services need to be designed, developed, produced, sold and used in a way that allows them to be repaired, reused or recycled. This ensures that we put less stress on the planet we are living in and allows us to leave a better earth for the future.
